SENSORS FOR PRECISION AGRICULTURE, SENSORS

Smart sensors for precision agriculture that monitor agronomic parameters that influence plant development.

Make smart decisions based on real data

  • The agricultural sensors send data to the cloud for viewing from a smartphone, PC, tablet, etc.
  • When and how much to water? When to open/close greenhouse windows? These are some of the decisions that can be made efficiently, improving crop yield

I WANT INFORMATION

The main new featureof agricultural sensors for precision agriculture is that they don’t require an irrigation controller to use them.

  • Each SENSORS device can monitor up to 6 agriculture sensor readings
  • The agricultural sensor readings are registered directly in the cloud through a GPRS modem (requires a SIM card not included)
  • The Maher server stores the agriculture sensor readings every 5 minutes.
  • These readings can be consulted graphically and intuitively from any device with internet access (smartphone, PC, tablet, etc.)
  • The SENSORS include:
  • SENSORS are customized according to the specifications provided. Customers can choose the sensors on request, taking the existing expansion module models into account:
    • 6EA: 6 analog sensors can be connected
    • 2SDI12: 2 SDI12 tri-sensors can be connected, and no analog sensors
    • 3EA +1SDI-12: 3 analog sensors and 1 SDI12 tri-sensor can be connected
  • The parameters recorded by the agricultural sensors are sent to the cloud through a GPRS modem and are monitored from the Maher App web application

Items included

Analog input expansion module 4-20 mA / 0-5 V

  • Model 6EA (6 analog sensors): Up to 6 analog sensors can be connected
  • Model 2SDI12 (2 SDI12 tri-sensors): 2 tri-sensor SDI-12 probes can be connected, and no analog sensor.
  • Model 3EA+ 1SDI12 (3 analog sensors and 1 SDI12 tri-sensor): 3 analog sensors can be connected to the analog inputs and 1 SDI-12 tri-sensor probe.

 GPRS modem

  • Includes (antenna, GPRS modem and power).
  • SIM card (not included): A SIM card with data service is required for its operation, which must be provided by the customer. Monthly data consumption less than 50 MB.

12 VDC solar power system

  • Solar cell
  • Battery

Sensors to choose:

  • Soil: tensiometer, tri-sensor (humidity, temperature and CE), etc.
  • Climate: environmental temperature and humidity, solar radiation, anemometer, wind vane, etc.
  • Water: pH, EC, etc.

Maher App

Maher App is a web application in which sensor readings can be viewed graphically and intuitively. These readings are updated every five minutes.

  • They can be accessed from web browserby entering the address: www.maherapp.com
  • A direct access to the web adress can be created on the desktop of the mobile, tablet or PC. Remember that the Maher App cannot be found in the App Store or Google Store.
  • To obtain Maher App , the user is required to register first. The app can be accessed from any device with internet access (mobile, PC, tablet, etc.), entering the username and password provided by Maher.

Frequently asked questions

How many sensors can be connected for each sensor device?

Each sensor device can record up to 6 sensor readings. One of the analog input expansion module models is used depending on the specifications of the chosen sensors:

  • Model 6EA: Connect up to 6 analog sensors
  • Model SDI12: Connect up to 2 SDI12 sensors (this sensor type records readings of various agronomic parameters).
  • • Model 3EA + 1SDI12: Connect up to 3 analog sensors and 1 SDI12 sensor

What are SDI12 sensors?

They are sensors that can record various soil parameters, those compatible with Sensors are:

  • 5TE: Volumetric water content, electrical conductivity and soil temperature
  • GS3: Volumetric water content, electrical conductivity and soil temperature
  • TEROS 12: Volumetric water content, electrical conductivity and soil temperature
  • TEROS 11: Volumetric water content and soil temperature

What are digital sensors?

The rest of the sensors are generally digital: tensiometer, solar radiation sensor, anemometer, wind vane, humidity and environmental temperature sensor, rainfall gauge, etc.

Why is a SIM card needed for its operation?

  • The readings recorded by the sensors are sent to the cloud server through a GPRS modem, which requires a SIM card with data service to operate it
  • To check coverage, simply test the SIM card in a phone to see whether the internet is working correctly
  • One SIM card is required for each sensor device
