WEATHER STATION FOR AGRICULTURE

The Meteorological Station for Agriculture enables greater control, through data, of all the environmental and agronomic variables that influence crop development.

There are different models of preset weather stations for agriculture, which can be fully customized with the required sensors. The Power Kit (solar cell + battery) and the mast can also be included for mounting the sensors.

The most common sensors are:

  • Rainfall gauge
  • Outside temperature
  • Relative humidity
  • Solar radiation
  • Wind speed and direction
  • Leaf wetting
  • Soil (moisture, electrical conductivity and temperature)

MONITOR THE WEATHER STATION SENSORS

The information captured by the sensors is sent in real time via GSM/GPRS, so that it can be monitored through an App from any device connected to the internet; Smartphone, PC or Tablet.

From this application, in addition to the sensors’ graphs, curves on Delta T, Vapor Pressure Deficit, Dew Point and Daily ET0 can also be viewed Extra options for 1) Climate prediction and 2) Disease model can also be requested.

START IRRIGATION ACCORDING TO CLIMATE AND AGRONOMIC VARIABLES

The Weather Station can be connected to the MAHER SMART, FERTI 8000 and CICLÓN irrigation controllers with no need for wiring, all from the cloud. The start/end of irrigation can therefore be conditional according to environmental temperature and soil humidity. The readings are provided by the weather station. Here are some examples of this:

  • Avoid frost: Start an irrigation automatically in very cold temperatures.
  • Avoid problems in crops due to high temperatures: Start irrigation to add moisture to the environment
  • Optimize the soil:Keep it within humidity, electrical conductivity and temperature parameters that facilitate the correct absorption of water and nutrients by the root.
